Board of Selectmen Holds Public Hearing on Future of Greenwich Avenue

On Tuesday, the Board of Selectmen, along with other town and public safety officials, held a special meeting and public hearing to discuss Greenwich Avenue, parking, outdoor dining, and what the future could look like in the downtown area.

Several residents and business owners spoke during the 90 minute hearing, and the majority said they liked what’s being done on the Avenue. However, a few want some adjustments made.

Breast Cancer Alliance Kicks-Off Awareness Month With Flag Raising

Last Thursday, the Breast Cancer Alliance (BCA), a Greenwich-based nonprofit, held a flag raising ceremony at Greenwich Town Hall to kick-off Breast Cancer Awareness Month for October.

The BCA’s mission, according to their website, is to improve the survival rate and quality of life for those impacted by breast cancer through better prevention, early detection, treatment and cure.
