The Greenwich High School softball team returned home and battled Staples High School earlier today. Although Big Red was on the losing side of the scoreboard, they had some solid standout performances.
The Cards scored two runs each in the first, second and fourth innings. Julia Greco finished the day 3-for-3 with two runs batted in, while Julie Gambino went 1-for-2 with an RBI.
Not to be outdone was Cate Decker, who netted a 2-for-3 day and added two RBIs. Dominique Gambino also fared well, finishing 1-for-4 with one RBI.
