As you may know from the recent article in the Sentinel, the Needs Clearing House officially closes 6/30/18.
I have just learned of the death of a woman named Shayisa Thomas.
I did not know Shayisa, who died just over a week ago on June 11 2018, after she was diagnosed with gall bladder cancer last September.
She was only 49 and she left behind 3 children and one grandson.
Her oldest daughter is 24 and needs help to bury her mom.
Since NCH is no longer accepting donations, I ask you give whatever you can, no matter what the amount, to:

Send your check directly to Baker Funeral Services, Inc., 84 South Main Street Norwalk, 06854, Shayisa’s funeral.
Perhaps together we can help raise all or part of the $5,000 required by the funeral home to release the body and bury Shayisa.
This matter was referred to me by people I have worked with for years who know this family and what they are going through having lost and trying to bury their mom without insurance or other funds.
