The Junior League of Greenwich’s ‘Touch A Truck!’ Set to Return May 17

The Junior League of Greenwich (JLG) announces the return of Touch A Truck!, taking place on Sunday, May 17, at Greenwich Town Hall.

The popular annual event will run rain or shine from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with VIP access beginning at 9:00 a.m. and a dedicated Reduced Sensory Experience from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

Designed to provide an engaging and memorable day for children and families, Touch A Truck! gives attendees the opportunity to explore a wide variety of vehicles up close, including fire trucks, police cars, ambulances, school buses, construction equipment, and fan-favorite vehicles from Greenwich’s Department of Public Works. Children can climb behind the wheel of a fire truck, honk the horn of a dump truck, ride a trackless train, enjoy mini golf, and play around a giant bubble machine.

The JLG will once again offer its Reduced Sensory Experience, created specifically for children and families who benefit from a quieter and calmer environment without loud sirens or flashing lights. During this special hour, attendees can still enjoy family entertainment and food trucks in a more relaxed setting. Families interested in participating are encouraged to select the Reduced Sensory Experience ticket option when purchasing tickets.

“We are beyond happy to bring this treasured event back for another exciting day for children and their families thanks to the hard work of our dedicated volunteers,” said Sammie Jacobs, President of the Junior League of Greenwich. “Our reduced sensory hour makes this an inclusive event for all children since loud sirens and flashing lights aren’t for everyone, while the rest of the day allows kids to be kids and experience various vehicles firsthand that they see every day in a festive environment.”

Touch A Truck! serves as a major fundraiser for the Junior League of Greenwich. Proceeds from the event support a variety of JLG community initiatives, including Positively Me! and Project Impact.

Advance general admission tickets are $18, while VIP family tickets are available for $150. Tickets purchased at the event will be $20 each. Children under the age of two receive free admission.

Tickets and additional event information are available through the Junior League of Greenwich website.
