On May 5, 2021 from 9:30am to 11:00am, Impact Fairfield County (Impact FFC) will hold its 6th Annual Meeting to select two $100,000 Core Mission Grant winners. The Meeting will be conducted virtually, and the vast majority of its membership (248 women) is expected to attend.

The 2021 $100,000 Impact FFC Core Mission Grant finalists, thoughtfully selected from an initial pool of 71 nonprofit applicants, are:

  • Catholic Charities of FFC (Bridgeport): Expand Family Loan Program
  • Hall Neighborhood House (Bridgeport): Build New On-site Dental Clinic
  • Intempo (Stamford): Expand and Build Capacity of Choral- and Instrumental-Music Programs
  • Person to Person (Darien): Strengthen Door2Door Food Delivery Program
  • Women’s Mentoring Network (Stamford): Expand and Strengthen Women’s Economic Empowerment Program

The finalist organizations participated in a rigorous application process, including writing a letter of inquiry, submitting a full proposal, and conducting a virtual site visit. Finalist applications were evaluated based on a variety of criteria for both the organization and the proposed project, including the organization’s demonstrated impact, the population served, and whether the project is transformational and sustainable.

The finalists will make presentations to the Impact FFC membership at the Annual Meeting, after which the members will select the two Core Mission Grant winners by voting via individual ballot.

This is the first year Impact FFC will be awarding Core Mission Grants, allowing Impact FFC to fund a broader range of nonprofit needs. These transformational Grants provide restricted funds to develop new programs, expand or strengthen existing programs, and improve organizational capacity that advances the nonprofit’s core mission. Previously, Impact FFC’s $100,000 Grants were intended to fund a new project or program or a significant expansion. In line with best practices in the philanthropy sector and in recognition of the challenges nonprofits face in today’s economic climate, Impact FFC has pivoted to Core Mission Grants.

With the two $100,000 Core Mission Grants and three $16,000 General Operating grants for the non-winning finalists, Impact FFC is poised to award $248,000 in 2021. This has been a record year for Impact FFC, with its greatest number of nonprofit applicants, members, and funds to be distributed since inception. In 2021, its sixth year of investing to transform the lives of Fairfield County’s neediest, Impact FFC will surpass $1.25 million in total grant funding.

About Impact FFC: Impact FFC is a collective giving circle whose mission is to empower women to engage in local philanthropy through deeper knowledge and active participation in grantmaking. It unites women by pooling membership funds to provide large, transformational grants to nonprofit organizations across Fairfield County. Since its inception in 2016, Impact FFC has already provided over $1 million in grant funding to local nonprofits.
