Cos Cob School to Remain Closed on Tuesday

By Richard Kaufman

Cos Cob School, which was closed on Monday due to a water leak, will remain closed on Tuesday, Oct. 9, according to a release from Greenwich Public Schools.

Restoration and environmental consultants, along with town officials, will be on-site to assess the damage and conduct air-quality testing in order to estimate the clean up and restoration plan and timeline. District and school administrators are reviewing plans to address impacted classrooms so school can resume as soon as possible.

Once everything has been assessed, the District will have a better understanding on how to move forward.

The Cos Cob School Open House, which was scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 11, has bee canceled and will be rescheduled for a later date, which is to be determined.

All other Greenwich public schools will continue to open and run a regular school day schedule. Open Houses for all other elementary schools will still take place on Oct. 11.

Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
