Letter: Tesei’s Entry Into the Lieutenant Governor’s Race

lettertotheeditor

To the Editor,

First Selectman Peter Tesei’s entry into the Lieutenant Governor’s race as part of gubernatorial, candidate Erin Stewart’s team is propitious.

Peter is a good man and fiscally conservative. The problem is that candidate Stewart has warmly embraced undemocratic binding arbitration at the state and local levels.

She is a very good person and mayor, but to be considered for the GOP Governor’s position, Mayor Stewart must reject undemocratic binding arbitration.

There is, however, the Democrat state convention two weeks later where undemocratic binding arbitration is embraced. Taxing and spending should be left to the elected representatives of the people and not unelected officials.

Sincerely,

Peter Thalheim,
GOP Candidate for Governor
Riverside
