The Junior League of Greenwich (JLG) is now accepting applications for the Community Service Award. The award is granted to a local female high school senior who has demonstrated leadership and sustained commitment to community service. The winner of the Community Service award will be recognized and presented with a $2500 award.

Last year, the Junior League of Greenwich divided the award and presented it to two recipients, Julianna Song and Elizabeth Jones. Julianna Song stands out for her unusual and sustained commitment to the global community by fulfilling the Junior League of Greenwich’s mission of developing the potential of women. The second recipient, Elizabeth Jones, has dedicated her high school years volunteering in the community as a coach for Unified Sports Team, the local chapter of the Special Olympics at Greenwich High School.

Community Grant applications are due March 3, 2017. For more information, please call the Junior League of Greenwich office 203-869-1979 or email the Community Director, Joselynn Chua at jlg@jlgreenwich.org. Applications can be downloaded from the website, jlgreenwich.org.
