Join Wild Tomorrow Fund’s ecologist and Greenwich native, Axel Hunnicutt, on Thursday, Feb. 4 at 7 p.m., as he talks about the plight of elephants, rhinos, lions, and other African animals threatened with extinction because of illegal trafficking.

The illegal wildlife trade is an annual $19 billion industry; just behind drugs, arms, and human trafficking. The most recent spike in poaching and wildlife trafficking threatens to unravel decades of conservation work across the African continent. Come and hear who benefits, what countries are responsible, and the global strategies that must be adopted to save these animals before it’s too late.

Axel has studied grizzly bears in Canada, snakes in Connecticut, and most recently spotted hyenas among other animals in South Africa. He will be returning to South Africa in March to manage Wild Tomorrow Fund’s conservation programs.

The presentation will take place at Audubon Greenwich, 613 Riversville Road. For more information, call 203-869-5272, email contact@wildtomorrowfund.org, or visit wildtomorrowfund.org
