Joan M. Carlo of Greenwich died Sunday, Jan. 10. She was 81 years old.
Joan was born Dec. 24, 1934 in Sassari, Sardinia to Cosimo and Chiarina Paddeu. She worked for many years at the Greenwich Academy dining hall.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Anthony, known as “Sonny,” in 2014.
She is survived by her loving children, Mary Ann Hohl (Fritz), Linda Conti (Richard), Peter Carlo, and Sandra Spezzano (John). Joan is also survived by her loving grandchildren, Stephen and Ryan Hohl and Kathleen, Dennis, and Joseph Spezzano.
Joan’s family and friends gathered to honor her life at Coxe & Graziano Funeral Home in Greenwich on Wednesday, Jan. 13. A Mass of Christian Burial was held the next morning at St. Roch’s Roman Catholic Church, followed by interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
