Greenwich COVID-19 Update

With COVID-19 continuing to surge around the country and in the state of Connecticut, Greenwich First Selectman Fred Camillo and Greenwich Hospital President, Diane Kelly, have resumed weekly briefings on the virus.

On Wednesday, the two officials urged residents to keep their guard up as the holidays approach. As of Wednesday afternoon, there were 104 active COVID-19 cases in the Town of Greenwich, and 18 patients at Greenwich Hospital.

Greenwich Working With Governor on Reopening Plans

Last week, Gov. Ned Lamont released rules that eligible businesses falling under phase 1 of Connecticut’s reopening plans must follow during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Greenwich has been working with the governor on reopening plans, which focusses on hair salons and barbershops, museums and zoos (outdoor only), offices, restaurants (outdoor only), and retail and malls.
