The annual St. Roch Feast is back at St. Roch Church in Chickahominy this weekend.

Saint Roch is a Christian saint who has been celebrated with a feast at the church every year since the 1920’s, according to organizers.

“We love that the community comes together and we get to enjoy the pizza frittas, and the sausage and peppers, and the hamburgers and hot dogs- all the good food we’ve had in the past years,” said Frank Cortese, an event co-chair.

But, there’s much more than food- there are rides, games, and live entertainment every night.

“We have different bands. Tonight, we have The Bookends, tomorrow we have The Breakers, and Local Talent,” said Cortese.

And something new this year- the late selectman Dave Theis will be remembered for his years of support for the church.

“10 percent of our proceeds from he beer and wine tent will go to his scholarship,” said co-chair Jackie Budkins.

The Feast is open Thursday through Sunday at 6 p.m.
