Fairfield Road in Greenwich is closed between Old Church Road and Hillside Road due to a motor vehicle crash.
At approximately 7:45 p.m. last night a vehicle struck and knocked down a utility pole. While replacing the pole a water main was struck and broke. Utilities are currently on scene and working to repair the water main and replace the pole. The road is expected to be closed throughout the day.
Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes and to expect delays.
