Arbor Day Tree Planting Celebration

Greenwich Land Trust (GLT) and the Greenwich Tree Conservancy (GTC) invite the community to celebrate Arbor Day with a tree planting ceremony at the newly established Heirloom Orchard at the Malkin Preserve on Thursday, April 26 from 2 to 3:30 p.m.

First Selectman Peter Tesei will present an Arbor Day Proclamation, honoring the national day of observance dedicated to tree planting and increasing awareness of the importance of trees. Peter and Isabel Malkin, as well as other dignitaries and members of the community will also be on hand to commemorate the day. Refreshments will be served and a brief talk on Heirloom Apples will take place following the ceremony.
