Caterina Pennella, 86, of Greenwich, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2018. She was the wife of the late Pasquale Pennella. Caterina was born February 18, 1931 in Italy, to the late Marco and Maria Giuseppe Siconolfi. As a young woman, she worked in factories in Italy before immigrating to the United States in 1974. Caterina is the loving mother to Giovanni (Angelina) Pennella, a devoted grandmother to Patrick (Nicole) Pennella and Rina (Earl) Pennella-Quijano. She adored her great-grandchildren, Olivia and Joseph Patrick Pennella, and Clementyne and Elijah Quijano. She also leaves her brother Angelo of Italy, as well as nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Michael and Antonio.
A Mass of Christian Burial took place on Sat. Jan. 6, at St. Roch Church, 10 St Roch Ave., Greenwich.
