

Silver Hill Hospital announced that Dr. Diane Mickley has joined the Eating Disorders Treatment Program as a consultant.
Dr. Mickley is an internationally-recognized eating disorders expert and the founder and director of the Wilkins Center for Eating Disorders in Greenwich. She has served as president of the American Anorexia and Bulimia Association and also the National Eating Disorders Association and has received numerous awards for her work in the field. Dr. Mickley is currently a member of the North American Association of Obesity and the Society for Adolescent Medicine. She is a founding fellow of the Academy of Eating Disorders. Dr. Mickley is Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Yale University School of Medicine and Emeritus Staff at Greenwich Hospital.
Dr. Mickley works closely with Silver Hill Hospital’s Eating Disorders program director, Erin Kleifield, PhD, in support of providing the very finest treatment of eating disorders available anywhere. She will provide internal medicine consultations when needed and can also be available to patients and families to discuss treatment planning.
The Eating Disorders Program at Silver Hill Hospital treats individuals ages 17 years and older, male and female, who are diagnosed with anorexia, bulimia and binge eating disorder. Many of our patients also have co-occurring diagnoses of depression, anxiety or addiction which require simultaneous treatment. The program offers a range of therapeutic interventions designed to interrupt maladaptive behavior patterns and promote behavioral and emotional growth and change. Treatment is comprehensive and individually tailored, with an emphasis on treating all aspects of the individual.
