The Junior League of Greenwich (JLG) announces its 19th year of Positively Me!, a free, confidence-building, and emotional intelligence program for third-grade girls. This beloved event is designed for girls at a pivotal stage of development and helps participants build self-confidence, learn to express themselves, make thoughtful decisions, and navigate peer relationships — all in a supportive, engaging, and fun environment.

“Through hands-on activities, the girls will explore self-esteem, communication, friendship, and how to handle challenging situations all while forming meaningful connections with other third grade girls from across our community.” said Sammie Jacobs, President of the Junior League of Greenwich.

Positively Me! activities are Friday night 5:30-8:30 and Saturday 10:00-3:00. They include a Friday night PJ party, creative arts experiences, movement and mindfulness activities, crafts, a volunteer project, and more, with dinner on Friday night and lunch and snacks on Saturday.

One of the standout moments of the year comes from one of the JLG’s community partners, Greenwich Kempo, through an interactive and empowering board-breaking activity. Girls are invited to name a fear they’re ready to leave behind—and then break through it in a very real way. It’s a crowd favorite every year, delivering an unforgettable boost of confidence and a fun, meaningful lesson in courage, resilience, and believing in themselves.

The JLG is accepting applications until January 20, 2026 at www.jlgreenwich.org for February 20-21, 2026 or March 20-21, 2026. The program is free and open to girls in 3rd grade who live or attend school in Greenwich. Girls will be chosen by a lottery and all families will be notified.
