The Annual Community Shredding Event will take place this weekend, offering residents a free opportunity to safely dispose of sensitive documents while supporting local recycling efforts.
Organized by the Greenwich Recycling Board and Greenwich Green & Clean, the event is supported by The First Bank of Greenwich along with cosponsors Greenwich Refuse & Recycling and Santaguida Sanitation. Volunteers from the Boys & Girls Club will assist throughout the day.
“This is a great opportunity to safely dispose of sensitive documents, help protect your personal information, and support responsible recycling in our community,” organizers said.
Shredding will be provided is available on a first-come, first-served basis, regardless of residency. Organizers expect a strong turnout and encourage early arrival.
The event continues a local tradition that combines practical service with community participation.
