On Sunday, April 19, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM, The League of Women Voters of Greenwich (LWV Greenwich) with Greenwich Girl Scouts will host a gathering on Women in Government, at Greenwich Town Hall, 101 Field Point Road.
This engaging, drop-in event is open to the public and designed to spark the interest of youngest citizens, particularly Girl Scouts in grades PK-5.
Participating girls will:
– Learn about local, state, and national government.
– Discover how young people can make a positive impact in their community.
– Earn a citizenship or democracy badge, aligning with their Girl Scout level.
The event features an expo-style format with interactive, hands-on activities with elected leaders in town, state and national positions. The LWV Greenwich encourages participation from representatives across different political parties to create a positive and empowering environment and event. Bring a kid-friendly activity of your own or use one provided by Girl Scouts.
With busy hands, please take the opportunity to explain “who, what, where, when, and how” of your role and branch of government and how your work impacts the community.

– Voting and purchasing your favorite Girl Scout cookies ($6/box)
How to register to vote
Pre-register and the first 100 get a patch; pre-registered Girl Scouts also earn a level specific Girl Scout Democracy badge.
This LWV Greenwich event is open to the Greenwich Community, is free of charge, and does not require registration.
