Josh Wright, the Executive Director of ideas42, is a leader in applied behavioral science with a background in various leadership roles including at the US Treasury Department, and holds degrees from Wesleyan University and Yale School of Management. He introduced ideas42, an organization that applies behavioral science to address global issues such as poverty and education, and shared insights on human decision-making quirks and the significant role of context over personality traits. Wright discussed real-world applications of behavioral science, including improving college completion rates through interventions that address students' sense of belonging and tackling poverty by understanding the cognitive effects of scarcity on decision-making.
