Obituary: Wesley Krahl, Jr.

Wesley Albert Krahl, Jr., 83, of Taborton, Sand Lake, New York, husband of the late Barbara Krahl, died February 13, 2022, of sudden cardiac arrest. He was born in Greenwich, Connecticut to the late Wesley Albert Krahl, Sr. and Edna Horton Krahl and is survived by a brother, Roger Krahl, of Roswell, Georgia; three stepchildren, Linda Marshall of Gilbert, Arizona, David Cobden of Taborton, New York and Stephen Cobden of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; and two nieces, Pamela Krahl of Severna Park, Maryland and Kathryn Krahl of Valdosta, Georgia.

Wesley graduated from Greenwich High School and worked as a draftsman for the American Machine and Foundry in Greenwich before joining Hawk Transportation Services in Danbury, Connecticut. Wesley was also a proud member of the United States Air Force and Air National Guard. Following retirement, Wesley and Barbara relocated from Greenwich to a lake house on Big Bowman Pond in Taborton.

While Wesley never forgot his roots in Greenwich and maintained close ties with friends there, he also made many new friends in Taborton. Noted for his positive attitude, keen sense of humor, and love of life, he will be missed by friends and family alike.

A celebration of Wesley’s life will be held at the lake house in Taborton on June 19 at 1:00pm.
