After a very successful event held in June 2021, Greenwich can look forward to the 2nd Old Greenwich Festival 2022. Residents will have the opportunity to celebrate the end of the school year, support small businesses, non-profit organizations, and kick off summer with a fabulous event. And there is tons of fun to be had!
Produced by It’s All in the Details, LLC, #ogf22 will again be held at Binney Park in Old Greenwich on Saturday, June 11 between 10am – 4pm. Attendees should enter the park at Weeskum Wood Road and Sound Beach Avenue, where check-in and an event map are stationed. Food trucks will be parked on Weeskum Wood Road – DCW, Flavor Bomb, and Dominick the Singing Ice Cream Man offer a variety of food and beverage to satisfy everyone’s taste buds. The Marketplace features local vendors selling everything from jewelry/accessories/clothing to home accessories/décor/candles to locally grown honey and more. Beyond the Marketplace is Kids Korner — bounce houses, a bungee run, 2 obstacle courses and a Gaga pit will provide hours of enjoyment for all ages. Claudineia & Friends will offer face painting, a balloon artist, and some fun clowning around. DJ Rick returns with the best music, dancing, games, and prizes, for children of all ages. This year brings the addition of more youth performances featuring the talents of Greenwich A Cappella and Greenwich Performing Arts Studio, thanks to entertainment coordinator, Michelle Marceau.
The Old Greenwich Festival is a community-building event. It also gives back to the community by: 1) supporting the local economy and small businesses by giving them a venue where they can promote their products and services, and 2) supporting local non-profit organizations by donating up to six (6) spaces in the Marketplace to educate attendees about their mission, promote their fundraisers, etc.
