Junior League Collecting Toiletry Totes for Teens in Need

The Junior League of Greenwich New Members invite the community to support their Women’s Empowerment Project. The goal of this initiative is to prepare 105 “toiletry totes” to help combat “period poverty” and provide basic living essentials to local teen girls in need. Our community partner, Neighbor to Neighbor, a local nonprofit organization, that seeks to improve the lives of residents throughout the Greenwich area, will distribute the totes.

There are two ways the community can support this initiative. First, people can drop off the following essentials at any drop off location (listed below).

Essentials:

Tampons
Shampoo
Conditioner
Body lotions
Soap Bars
Razors
Deodorants
Toothbrushes
Toothpastes

Drop Off Locations (hours of operation may vary):

• Greenwich Junior League, 231 E. Putnam Ave, Greenwich, CT, 06830
• Club Sweat, 1345 E Putnam Ave, 2nd Floor, Old Greenwich, CT 06870
• Pure Barre Darien, 1958 Post Rd, Darien, CT 06820
• Coldwell Banker Realty, 66 Field Point Rd, Greenwich, CT 06830

Second, individuals can donate by purchasing necessary items via the Amazon Wishlist here.

This initiative runs until May 9th. For more information or questions, visit https://www.jlgreenwich.org/toiletry-drive/ or email newmember@jlgreenwich.org.
