Greenwich Decorative Arts Society presents Wyeth Paintings: More Than Meets The Eye

The Greenwich Decorative Arts Society presents Wyeth Paintings:More Than Meets The Eye, a lecture by Joyce Hill Stoner, Edward F. and Elizabeth Goodman Rosenberg Professor of Material Culture, Director, Preservation Studies Doctoral Program, University of Delaware.

Ms.Stoner will discuss the “genealogy of the brushwork” and other influences that Howard Pyle, N. C. Wyeth, Andrew Wyeth, and Jamie Wyeth shared among their paintings. She has carried out restorations jointly with Andrew and Jamie and will discuss the adventures a conservator has while working with a living artist. Andrew Wyeth painted her portrait in 1999.
