



The Frederick Gunn School in Washington, Connecticut, graduated 87 students, representing 14 states and 11 countries, in the Class of 2021 at its 171st Commencement Exercises, held May 30, 2021.
This year’s class included three local graduates: Jack Landers of Greenwich; Molly Braun of Greenwich, who was also named to the Honor Roll for the 2020-21 academic year; and Declan Long of Riverside, who served as a prefect, one of the highest student leadership positions, was named to the Dean’s List, and was awarded The Percy B. Wightman Prize for outstanding leadership in “things of the spirit” during this year at The Frederick Gunn School.
Founded in 1850 by Frederick Gunn, an outdoorsman, abolitionist, and pioneering educator, The Frederick Gunn School is a coeducational, independent, college preparatory school for 300 boarding and day students in grades 9‒12 and post-graduate. Students learn to become active citizens, prepared to make a difference in the lives of others, to be a force for good.
