Pedestrian Dies of Injuries

A pedestrian who was struck by a car on Milbank Avenue has died of her injuries.

At about 5:20 p.m. on January 8, Elizabeth Deering (77) of Greenwich was crossing Milbank Avenue in the area of Agnes Morley Heights (249 Milbank Ave.) when she was struck by a vehicle being driven by a 43-year-old Rye Brook, NY man. The driver stopped and remained on scene. The pedestrian was transported to an area hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

On January 16, the pedestrian, Elizabeth Deering, dies as a result of the injuries she suffered.

This incident is currently under investigation by the Greenwich Police Departments Traffic Section. Anyone who may have witnessed this incident is asked to call Officer Roger Drenth at 203-622-8014.
