Letter: What Happened When I Needed Help

Dear Editor:
I’m a Democrat, and grew up here in Greenwich. I will be proud to vote for Fred Camillo for our First Selectman. In 2017 the Governor decided to take away health insurance payments for the elderly and disabled (me.) I had to choose: a roof over my head? Or health insurance? Fred Camillo was my state representative. Completely panicked, I called him. On New Year’s Eve. Fred didn’t mind, and he promised me I would have nothing to fear within a few days. Because of his advocacy and voting, he did indeed keep his promise. He saved me, pure and simple. And that’s why I’m voting for my buddy, Fred Camillo, this Tuesday.
