The annual Island Beach Two Mile Swim will take place on Saturday, Aug. 3 at 8:30 a.m. The event is sponsored by the Town of Greenwich and the Greenwich Swim Committee.
Swimmers should report to Greenwich Harbor at 6:45 a.m. for registration and board Island Beach ferry at 7:20. Wetsuits are permitted but swimmers wearing wetsuits will be ineligible for awards. The race course will be marked by buoys and protected by boats.
The entry fee is $75 and deck entries are permitted. There will be refreshments and commemorative t-shirts for all participants.
