It is with great sadness that the family of Benedetta (Bessie) Camarda announces her passing on Friday, Aug. 17. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Carol and her son-in-law Louis Scerra, as well as her granddaughter Kristin Campiotti and her husband Joseph, and her grandsons Louis Scerra and his wife Molly and Michael Scerra and his wife Kathryn. Her seven precious great-grandchildren Abby, Lia, Madelyn, Natalie, Luca, Benjamin, and Robinson will also fondly remember her.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Ben and her beloved son Salvatore. She is survived by her sister Gigi and her many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Visitation was held Aug. 19 and 20. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Aug. 21. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bessie’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
