The Greenwich Recycling Advisory Board and Greenwich Green & Clean will hold a paper-shredding event on Saturday, April 21 from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., at the Island Beach Parking lot (Arch Street at Steamboat Road).

From old financial statements, medical records and documents that contain sensitive information, all can be recycled safely. Shredding will be done on-site.

Visitors are asked to bring paper in cardboard box or rigid container, which can be returned (documents in paper or plastic bags will not be accepted.) They should also remove all non-sensitive paper, envelopes, folders, plastic bindings, metal clips, binder covers and newspaper.

There is a fee of $2 per box, with a five box maximum per car. The event is offered to Greenwich residents only.

Co-sponsored by The First Bank of Greenwich and Santaguida Sanitation. For more information, contact 203-531-0006 or greenwichrecycles@gmail.com
