Although snow isn’t expected to begin falling until early Wednesday morning, several area schools have already closed.
As of 5 p.m., Tuesday, here is a list of Greenwich school closures for March 7:
- All Greenwich Public Schools
- Brunswick School
- Greenwich Academy
- Sacred Heart Greenwich
- Whitby School
- Greenwich Country Day School
According to swctweather.com’s latest forecast, coastal Fairfield County is slated to see 6-12 inches of snow, while more inland areas should see anywhere from 7-14 inches. The majority of the snowfall is expected during the midday hours on Wednesday, ending Wednesday night into early Thursday morning.
The Greenwich Police Department warned residents of hazardous driving conditions, since as much as two inches of snow per hour is expected to fall during the height of the storm. As of 2 p.m., this afternoon, all but four roads remain closed as a result of last week’s Nor’Easter. GPD noted that utility crews will continue to work to restore service to customers.
