

On Friday, Feb. 23, Greenwich Reform Synagogue will hold a special Shabbat service with Mark Oppenheimer and guest Rabbi Gary Gerson. Oppenheimer, former religion editor for the New York Times, current editor-at-large for Tablet magazine, and host of the podcast Unorthodox, will lead a lively discussion of Jews, the media and Israel. Refreshments will be served at 6:30 p.m., and the service takes place at 7.
Then, on Sunday, Feb. 25 from 10 to 11:30 a.m., Rabbi Gerson will discuss the psychology of grief and mourning in Judaism.
