Eugenio Pirri, 77, passed away peacefully on July 17, with his loving family by his side.
He was born July 5, 1940 in Luzzi, Provincia of Cosenza, Italy. Eugenio enjoyed gardening and spending time with family, especially his grandkids. He was married to his loving wife, Maria Aiello Pirri, for 50 years.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his two sons, Piero (Giulia) and Luigi (Susan), and his three grandchildren, Mikela, Gianmarco, and Anastasia. He is also survived by his sisters, Pierina and Amelia, and in-laws in Italy.
Eugenio was a loved and respected employee of the town of Greenwich for 19 years until he retired. He was known for his masonry work and passion for nature. He will be truly missed by all.
Visitation was held yesterday at Castiglione Funeral Home in Greenwich. A Mass will be held Friday, July 21 at 10 a.m., at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 6 Riverside Ave., Riverside. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, 399 North St., Greenwich.
