Gunsmoke to Perform at Parks & Rec. Concert Series

The Department of Parks and Recreation announces that award-winning country band Gunsmoke will be in concert on Wednesday, July 26, from 7:15 to 8:45 p.m. at Roger Sherman Baldwin Park. The rain date is set for the next day, Thursday, July 27.

Gunsmoke hails from Fairfield County and has been performing Country music for three decades. Three generations of the same family have made Gunsmoke one of the region’s top musical attractions. Named by the New York Metro Country Music Association “Band of the Year” for six consecutive years, they have played for sitting Presidents, performed on national television, and have seven albums to their credit. The Gunsmoke Sound consists of Classic Country, Western Swing and Rockabilly styles of American music. In addition to their own music, Gunsmoke features the songs of legendary artists such as, Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Patsy Cline, Willie Nelson and many more.
