Susan Merritt-Glenny, 56, of Yarmouthport, Mass., passed away on March 22 after demonstrating great courage against pancreatic cancer. At the time of her passing, she was at home, surrounded by her loving family.

Raised in Greenwich, Connecticut, Susan graduated from Greenwich High School in 1978, UConn in 1982, and Western New England Law School in 1985. She was a member of the Massachusetts and Connecticut Bars and independently cultivated a successful civil law practice in Yarmouthport.

She was deeply devoted to her family, was an avid runner, and passionately celebrated the lives and accomplishments of those around her. She inspired all who got to know her with her strength, radiance, and tenacity, having defeated breast cancer in 1996 and again in 2014.

She is survived by her husband, Brian Glenny, her son, Andrew, and her daughter, Heather. She leaves behind seven siblings: Karen Orrico, of Trumbull, Conn.; Lynn Stewart, of Trumbull; Priscilla Blake, of Greenwich; Diane Merritt-Lish, of Ridgewood, N.J.; Preston Merritt, of Trumbull; Liza Jarombek of Greenwich; and Tracey Gutelius, of Monroe, Conn.

To celebrate her life, visiting hours will be held Friday, March 31 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Hallett Funeral Home, 273 Station Ave, South Yarmouth. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 1, at St. Pius X Church, Station Ave., South Yarmouth.
