(UPDATED: Wed., March 29 at 4:18 p.m.) The lockdown at Greenwich High School is over, but the Greenwich Police Department is still continuing its investigation.

According to an update from the Greenwich Board of Education at 4 p.m., they said in a statement that students are being dismissed and that transportation will be provided. In addition, parents or guardians are able to pick up students.

All after school activities are cancelled for the high school, except for the choral concert, which will proceed as scheduled tonight. Continuing education classes will also proceed as scheduled.

The GPD was called to the high school earlier today for a threat that was made. They also said that the lockdown was not due to a bomb threat.

According to the Greenwich Police Department Twitter page, numerous officers and emergency vehicle have been on the Greenwich High School campus. No one has been injured and all are safe. No other schools were involved in the lockdown. The police department is still asking for people to avoid the area as their investigation continues.

We will have more information as it becomes available.
