In 2016, Greenwich-based DeRosa Builders was named “Builder of the Year” at the annual Home Builders & Remodelers Association of Fairfield County (HBRA) & Building Hope Foundation Gala. The DeRosa team also accepted their sixth Home Building Industry Award (HOBI) for “Outstanding Fairfield County Custom Home 4,000-5,000 SF” at the HBRA Connecticut’s Annual HOBI Gala. Company founder Anthony DeRosa said he was honored to receive such high accolades from the HBRA. “The HOBI Awards are Connecticut’s most prestigious recognition of excellence in home construction with several hundred entries in dozens of categories. To win a HOBI award is an absolute honor, but for DeRosa Builders to be named Fairfield County Builder of the Year, it will remain one of the finest moments in my career.”
The HBRA Fairfield County’s Builder of the Year award is given not only for the quality of work that a construction company provides, but for their philanthropic contributions and the time they give to the HBRA and industry growth. “My brother Anthony and I enjoy volunteering and giving back, especially when it can include the construction industry,” said Michael DeRosa, co-owner of DeRosa Builders. “Anthony is the Sr. Vice President of the HBRA of Fairfield County and I’m currently the Secretary of the Building Hope Foundation. We also assist other non-profits such as the Junior League of Greenwich, Community Answers, Inc., and Toys for Tots Campaign, to name a few.”
