Greenwich Hospital will present a lecture on Lyme disease Wednesday, Feb. 8 from 12 to 1:30 p.m. as part of the Women’s Health Initiative 2016-2017 lecture series. The lecture will be held in the Noble Conference Center at the hospital.

Dr. James Sabetta, director of Infectious Diseases and Internal Medicine will speak about tick related infections seen in Connecticut. Although Lyme disease is the most common of the tick-borne diseases, it is not the only one. In Connecticut, anaplasmosis and babesiosis infections are also being reported. Learn about the ticks that carry infection, how to recognize symptoms and what to do if you’ve been bitten by a tick or think you may have been infected.
