

In a highly anticipated match of two of the top squash teams in the country, the Brunswick School squash team topped Avon Old Farms on Saturday, 5-2 at the Stephens Squash Center.
The Bruins move to 4-0 on the season, while Avon Old Farms (1-1) suffered its first setback on the season.
Only two matches were three-game sweeps, as Brunswick’s Max Finkelstein won his match at No. 2 (9, 3, 12) and Brian Leonard earned a quick victory at No. 7 (3, 5, 4).
Tyler Carney needed five games to win at the No. 1 spot(4,14, [6], [5], 7), while Will Holey at No. 4 also battled through five games, but fell in the deciding fifth.
Tate Huffman at No. 5 and Nick Spizzirri at No. 6 both needed four games to win their matches. Huffman came away with the win(9, [7], 9,8), as did Spizzirri (9, [6], 3, 9). Patrick Feeley lost in four games at No. 3.
The Bruins return to action on Monday, Dec. 12, hosting Darien High School at 3 p.m.
