Fork This with IntoxiKate radio host and professional restaurant recommender Kate Schlientz returns to the AM airwaves Tuesdays at 6 p.m. on News Talk 1490 WGCH. The show explores the local restaurant scene, as well as recipes, entertaining tips, and more from local resources and top industry experts.

Schlientz’s first show – Nov. 15 – kicks off the holiday season with a focus on Thanksgiving entertaining. Guests include Claire Bertin-Lang from CBL Liquid Consulting and Steve Distler of O’Brien Estate Winery in Napa, Calif. Schlientz will also interview Chef Navjot Arora on his new Irvington restaurant Sambal: Thai & Malaysian.

Starting Nov. 29, Schlientz begins her annual “Edible Christmas” series, offering a collection of great gift ideas – and savings – for food lovers.

Schlientz launched IntoxiKate.com, a website committed to connecting fellow foodies to the best food, events, and restaurants in Westchester and Fairfield counties in 2013. Shortly after its launch, IntoxiKate became a vehicle for food events, connecting restaurants and chefs with diners in new, innovative ways. In 2014 and 2015, IntoxiKate.com was voted Best Local Website in by the readers of Westchester Magazine.

The show first aired on 1230 WFAS two years ago before Schlientz joined the team at WGCH alongside popular local radio personalities Lisa Wexler, Debbie Nigro, and Wendy Lowy Sloane. After the original airtime, the show is available as a podcast on IntoxiKate.com with access to additional topic information.
