Bridge Maintenance Project Set For I-95 South in Greenwich

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime bridge maintenance project will be performed on I-95, SB, in Greenwich, beginning Tuesday, August 2, 2016.

The work consists of bridge maintenance on I-95 SB, Bridge #00002, River Avenue overpass, in Greenwich. This project is scheduled to occur from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 to the morning of Friday, August 5, 2016.

This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2016 bridge maintenance program.

Motorists can expect lane closures on I-95 between Exit 2 (Louden Street), and the New York State Line in Greenwich. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Tuesday through Friday).

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
