The Pet Pantry Warehouse, in partnership with major pet food manufacturers announces the expansion of their “K9 Project,” an initiative that provides year round feeding for working police dogs in various communities now including Greenwich. The ultimate goal of this program is to provide a valuable community service in all of the townships where The Pet Pantry Warehouse has physical locations in Fairfield County, CT and Westchester County, NY.
In addition to Greenwich, the K9 Project is currently operating in New Canaan, and in Wilton, where it was originally started in 2014.

“Providing for the care of K9 working dogs by local police departments is a huge financial burden. By working with some of our pet food partners, Pet Pantry Warehouse is able to provide the highest quality pet food on the market to these K9 dogs absolutely free of charge. The K9 Project is a great way to ensure that the amazing work of local K9 officers do not go unrewarded.
Both the K9 dogs and police officers who care for them work tirelessly in an effort to protect and serve every one of us in our local communities. The Pet Pantry Warehouse is honored to contribute to their efforts” Says Pet Pantry Warehouse owner Adam Jacobson.
Deputy Chief Mark Marino recognizes that in a time of fiscal budgets being stretched for maximum efficiency, the generosity and thoughtfulness of this program is extremely helpful. This program initiated by Adam Jacobson, owner of Pet Pantry reinforces the Greenwich Police Department’s Community Policing efforts.
The Greenwich Police Department K9 unit began in 1988 as part of the Patrol Division. It has proven to be a great asset not only to the Town of Greenwich, but also to its surrounding communities.
The Pet Pantry Warehouse places great emphasis on establishing long lasting roots in the community as a local, family owned, community-based pet specialty retailer. Founded in Greenwich, CT in 1945, The Pet Pantry Warehouse has cultivated many relationships with local pet shelters, adoption groups, and community organizations and works year round to raise money and awareness for these worthy local causes.
