In the wake of growing concern about the Zika virus, Greenwich Hospital will hold a public meeting entitled “Let’s Talk About Zika!” on Thursday, April 7, from noon to 1 p.m. in the Noble Conference Center at 5 Perryridge Road.

Speakers include Caroline Stella, MD, assistant medical director of Perinatology; Heather Kamen, MS, prenatal genetic counselor; and James Sabetta, MD, director of Infectious Diseases. The meeting is open to obstetricians, women who are pregnant or trying to get pregnant and other community members. Lunch will be provided.

“Information about the Zika virus is constantly evolving, making it crucial for women and their physicians to stay informed about the best ways to reduce the risk of maternal infection, get tested for the virus and manage potential complications during pregnancy,” said Dr. Stella.

Greenwich Hospital issued a health brief on the Zika virus that can be viewed at the hospital’s website by visiting greenwichhospital.org/News/2016/03/health-brief-on-zika.aspx.
