It was a Valentine’s Day to remember for three area couples. Doctors at Greenwich Hospital delivered four babies on Valentine’s Day, including twins Shania and Elijah Adams-Francis of the Bronx, N.Y., Frankie Armstrong of Greenwich and Amara Santiago-Stra of New Rochelle, N.Y.
“It was a joyous occasion for everyone,” said Patricia Basciano, RN, Nurse Manager for Maternity at Greenwich Hospital.
Hospital officials said the babies wore knitted red hats created by volunteers for the American Heart Association as part of American Heart Month to raise awareness of heart disease and congenital heart defects, the most common type of birth defect in the country.
