The Greenwich United Way announced a one-to-one matching grant from the Tudor Foundation, a charitable giving arm of Tudor Investment Corporation. The grant will require the United Way to raise $50,000 in new and increased gifts by Feb. 29. If successful, the grant challenge will raise $100,000 to fund strategically chosen programs and agencies meeting the rising human service needs of the Greenwich community.
“The Tudor Foundation is pleased to support the Greenwich United Way and its efforts to help those in need,” said Mike Riccardi, board member of Tudor Foundation and Co-President of Tudor Investment Corporation. “We ask the community to join us in giving to this essential organization.”

The Greenwich United Way achieves measurable and sustainable results through comprehensive planning, efficient fundraising, and effective investment in the community.]
“The Greenwich United Way is proud and honored to partner with the Tudor Foundation to address the many trending gaps where funding continues to fall short of meeting the needs of those in our town who need our help the most,” said United Way Board Chair, Karen Keegan.
Through local insight the United Way is a catalyst for the creation of vital programs and services in the Greenwich community, including: Kids in Crisis, the YWCA Domestic Abuse Service, the Commission on Aging, Transportation Association of Greenwich, The Greenwich Youth Service Coordinator, the Children’s Day School Childcare Centers in Riverside and at the Western Greenwich Civic Center, the Reading Champions program, which assists more than 400 children each week with their reading comprehension and efficiency.
Ms. Keegan continued, “We are extremely grateful for the inspiring leadership and unprecedented call to action demonstrated by the Tudor Foundation.”
