YWCA Celebrates 2016 BRAVA Awards

YWCA Greenwich 2016 BRAVA Awards Honorees will be celebrated at a gala luncheon on Friday, Feb. 5, at the Hyatt Regency Greenwich, beginning at 11:30 a.m. Established in 1977, this thirty-ninth BRAVA Awards recognizes accomplished women, proven executives, acknowledged leaders in their fields and mentors in the community. They reflect the YWCA’s core mission of “Empowering Women.

The 2016 BRAVA Honorees are Ellen Adams, Hinoki Capital Management; Nancy Altobelo, Talent EY; Anne H. Angevine, MD, The Stamford Hospital; Sheryl Y. Battles, Pitney Bowes; Laura W. Beck, Cummings & Lockwood LLC; Paola Garelick, Garelick and Herbs; Christine Georgopulo, Arthur Murray Grand Ballroom of Greenwich; Melissa H. Mulrooney, Stamford Museum & Nature Center; Lindsay A.Sheehy, Dickstein Shapiro LLP; Stacy Zarakiotis, Greenwich Pediatric Dental Group LLC; Felice Zwas, MD, Greenwich Hospital.

“BRAVA plays a significant role in supporting many YWCA programs and services… including Domestic Abuse Services… scholarships for children in our Preschool, Aquatics and Camp programs… free Women’s Leadership Seminars… and free, community-wide Racial Justice initiatives,” said YWCA President and CEO Adrianne Singer. “I congratulate these women on their wonderful accomplishments. They certainly are role models who set a standard for other women to attain,” she continued.
