Geralyn Lucas, author of Why I Wore Lipstick to My Mastectomy, will discuss her sequel, Then Came Life, on Wednesday, Feb. 3, at 10 a.m. at Vince, 161 Greenwich Avenue.

Then Came Life is a story of surviving life, a collection of coming-of-(middle)-age stories of trying to be a role model for her daughter while being dissatisfied with her own looks. Geralyn harnesses her fighting spirit and leaves behind the trauma of cancer to battle all the rest that life has to throw at her. The book is not a cancer recovery story: it is about rediscovering the resilience, courage, and optimism it takes to reinvent yourself at every age.

At 27, Geralyn Lucas was diagnosed with breast cancer and endured a mastectomy. She also discovered a courage and fearlessness inside herself she never knew before. Empowered, she tours the world educating women about early detection. Lucas was an editorial producer at ABC News for 20/20 before joining Lifetime Television as a producer and head of the Stop Breast Cancer for Life initiative.

Tickets are $15 and will include a copy of the book. Signing will be available after the program. For more information, or to register visit jccgreenwich.org or call 203-552-1818.
