On Saturday, Jan. 9, Sacred Heart Greenwich invites children aged four to seven to join Melissa Guion, author and illustrator of Baby Penguins Everywhere! and Baby Penguins Love Their Mama!, for an unforgettable experience.
Children can spend the morning with the author, beginning at 10 a.m. for a book reading, penguin drawing demonstration, art project, and book signing.
Ms. Guion’s debut picture book, Baby Penguins Everywhere!, was selected for the 2012 Original Art exhibition at the Society of Illustrators in New York City.
Ms. Guion will lead children in an art project to advance their sense of fun in collaborating with others. Children will find that they, too, can draw penguins. She will discuss penguin facts and her books’ themes, which include growth and learning.
