On Dec.12, the Mary Bush Children of the American Revolution (CAR), the American Legion Post #29 and the Stamford Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) took part in Greenwich’s eighth annual Wreaths Across America Ceremony at Tomac Cemetery in Old Greenwich.

The ceremony was held simultaneously in several towns throughout the country which Jason Bacon, Honorary President of the local Greenwich’s Mary Bush Society CAR, has been organizing and running for the past four years. Residents learned about the importance of serving in the call of duty, and students learned the importance of remembering veterans who served and are serving to protect our country.

The Tomac Cemetery is where 27 known Greenwich Revolutionary War and some Civil War patriots are buried.
