On Sunday, Dec. 6, the Greenwich MasterSingers chorus will present a concert of selections from “Cinema’s Best Music” at 5 p.m. at the Greenwich Arts Center at 299 Greenwich Avenue. Conducted by internationally-lauded opera singer and vocal coach Pamela Kuhn, the concert promises to be a great vocal and theatrical experience. Pamela has selected a repertoire of sophisticated arrangements to be accompanied by pianist Dorothy Kolinsky (music teacher and Juilliard School of Music graduate from Stamford). Says Pamela “Since the golden era of Hollywood, from Bernard Hermann & Korngold to present day geniuses such as Thomas Newman and Howard Shore, music for film and film scoring is a unique and descriptive art form. I feel it is a classical genre of our time. And treasured melodies and songs from film themes are meant to be honored.”

Non-profit tickets are: $25 adults, $20 seniors/students, and can be purchased from members of the chorus or at the door.

Pamela Kuhn’s MasterSingers chorus have performed at concerts and exclusive venues and events. Some members of The MasterSingers are also part of The Angel Choir that performs at monthly concerts and accepts donations to support cancer victims and their families.

A graduate of The Juilliard School of Music, pianist Dorothy Kolinsky is an accomplished music coach, music director, and accompanist. She is the principal accompanist for The MasterSingers, The Angel Choir, and Troupers Light Opera Company.

Pamela Kuhn, of Greenwich, is the musical director of The MasterSingers (MasterSingersChorus.com) and The Angel Choir (AngelChoir.org) of Greenwich as well as a private vocal coach, producer of “The Art of Song” series showcasing vocalists and actors, and co-host of the WGCH 1490 radio show “Center Stage with Pamela Kuhn.”
